Anders Grondal won his third time back to back at the Lausitz Rallye. After his very mixed 2015 season he finished it with a win in his own Citroen DS3 R5 car with a lead over 1:07,8 Minutes after 13 special stages around the big brown coal mining area region Boxberg / Lausitz. He finish before the multi-time German rally champion Matthias Kahle on his first rally with the new Skoda Fabia R5. The last place on the podium was Butvilas on this Evo X R4 car.

On this event was many Scandinavian drivers, also the double vice world champion Jari-Matti Latavala and his father was driving here. Jari-Matti was driving the winning Audi Quattro Group 4 of the 2015 Lahti Historic Rally. He retired n the second stage with technical problems. Jari Latvala was leading the national part of the rally on the first 5 stages. But then he lost many seconds, but he could finish the rally on third place. Winner of the national rally was Grivas with 2:15,5 Minutes lead over Ramonat.
